Curious about the new planet just discovered? Questions about the latest events in space? All Shows at the Schenectady Museum's Suits-Bueche Planetarium include a look at the current night sky and the latest astronomy news.

NEW! GOTO STAR MACHINE

The Schenectady Museum’s new GOTO Star Machine is the only one in the Northeast and one of only 12 in the country! See 8,500 stars, 26 deep sky objects, 24 constellations, and much more!   View the sky from any location on Earth and any place in the solar system!

1:00 PM > The Sky Above Mister Rogers' Neighborhood
(through November 23)

Fred Rogers and his Neighborhood-of-Make-Believe friends explore the wonders of the sky. Best for young people (pre-K through 2nd grade, this program will be enjoyed by anyone who remembers this legendary television personality.

1:00 PM Our Place in Space
(begins November 28)

While solving a crossword puzzle, animals explore the cause of day and night, the importance of the Sun, the beauty of the constellations, and the objects that make up the Universe. This show is recommended for younger audiences.

2:00 PM > HUBBLE VISION 2
(through November 23)

Explore the universe as seen by amazing photographs and information provided by the Hubble Space Telescope. This program is accompanied by a short look at the summer sky and updates on the Hubble Servicing Mission.

2:00 PM ‘Tis the Season
(begins November 25)

Light up the cold, dark winter with a bright holiday show which traces the history and development of holiday customs and cultural celebrations. This show includes a live presentation about the winter night sky.

3:00 > SEASONAL SKY TOUR

A live narration of the stars, constellations and planets visible in the current night sky. This 45 minute program also takes a look at current events happening in astronomy.

Planetarium shows are offered at 1:00 pm, 2:00 pm, and 3:00 pm on Saturdays and Sundays and at 2:00 pm on Tuesday through Friday. The Museum will have special planetarium showings during school vacation weeks and on some holidays.
